just dropped mine off last night... said i wanted the software update on those and the service advisor jumped all over me saying it is more than likely me needing a new module do to a water leak... we'll see what they diagnose today... anyone know about this leak?

The transmission control module is in the valve body of the transmission.
There are different transimission issues, From what you described transmision
hesitation tip and thump downshifting at slow speed with no warnings illuminated
or errors in gearshift position on the ipack digital display, This "should" be the remedy.
Don't lose sleep over it...

I had the software loaded last week, it's much better! I just hope it stays like this.

I can't believe you state there was a water leak, and no other mention of it. Did you have your fluid tested for water / coolant contamination? If you have coolant contamination, then you most likely have a bad radiator. In addition, it would not be long before the clutches fail in the transmission. Water will cause the clutch material to fail before long. Who made that statement and what was it based on?
