Lesson learned! And now you know a little thing too... Overhauled my AC system and decided to purchased an whole new HVAC module for the rear. From an LR4 with 16k miles so the evap core and heater core where much better than my 230k miles on mine. And this was the time for such a swap since you have to remove the module to do the heater core - which means dumping the AC system. Anyway.... I bought some heater hose last minute from Menards. Sioux Chief was the brand. A couple days after doing all the work I saw I had some leaks back there and upon inspection pretty much all four ends were leaking. Since I had to replace these again I figured I would order some pre-bent tubes from Amazon.
Today I dug into it and indeed, each end of both hoses was leaking a little but because of the muffler I did not notice that the hoses had a pretty good kink to em! Glad I ordered the pre-bent hoses. I could have ordered the OEM hoses for about $80 shipped. The ones I bought were about $24 USD for a pair. The issue was the wall thickness of the Sioux Chief brand. Bad pic, but you can sorta see the OD is less than the originals and Amazon replacements. Because of that the clamps just did not have enough pressure on them.
