Giving away copyrighted material is just as much a violation as selling it, though if found guilty the consequences might be less, in theory anyway. But that's another misconception, that it only violates copyright if you sell it. The actual test is, have you deprived the owner of potential revenue? Well, one of the tests.
I'm not a lawyer, most non-patent/trademark/copyright lawyers know little about it anyway, but my ex did patent/trademark/copyright work at a law firm. But there is good and accurate information on the web, along with statements like, "If it's on the internet and doesn't say copyrighted it's public domain." Which isn't true.

So the current site is TOPIx - TOPIx , you register and pay for the time you need (1 day, 1 month, one year) and have access to all the manuals for your model. In your language in some cases.

So how do the eBay CD/DVD manuals compare? Are these legit (same or better content)? I'm a new '09 LR3 owner and looking for something similar to the Bentley manual I use for my Audi. Would this compare?

Pick a topic of the truck you want to compare, and I will post the pdf from the manual I have so you can compare. The LR Topix site is the most current, and is subscription based, a whole month is reasonable, and you download all the pieces. Here are examples on the cooling system.

So did you subscribe to Topix? I'd thought about it, but wasn't sure if you could download manual, or sections, or if they could only be viewed online, so was holding off until I had a need for something I didn't have.

If only viewable online, just print screen, paste in paint, save as.

There are better ways than that, but, yeah, like I want to do that with several thousand pages.
