Default LR3 Paint Finish

I have a '08 LR3 - Java Black. The paint is really looking dull (already) and not much of a glossy shine. I also have black 4 Runner that has kept it's finish and continues to look great.

Any ideas for shining up the LR3?

I used the Nufinish polish and worked like a charm. My paint wasn't exactly dull but pretty scratched up from off roading. It looks great, almost like new...few deep scratches remain but the shine is amazing. You dont even notice the scratches. Very easy to apply, just put it on like a wax after you wash the car.

I found it at Kragen's auto parts store, bright orange bottle. I'm sure you'll be able to find in at any auto parts place though.

Hope this helps, good luck.

If its just dull and not full of scratches use the Zaino kit, its about $85 for everything but it is worth every penny IMHO, next time I will buy the bigger kit.

On the trim I have been using Honda Polish that I use on my Ducati's, I dont think its called honda polish anymore but its a spray can cleaner for plastic fairings and windscreens. If you cant find that use Plexus.

MJ, if your truck has never been waxed I would say its time for one. I wax mine about twice a year. I had a reputable high-end body shop to wax mine and it looked phenomenal afterwards.
I have also used a clay bar on the horizontal surfaces as they seem to loose their luster more rapidly during the summer months. I never put anything on the trim other than soap.
