LR3 purchase advice

LR3 purchase advice
I originally had this posted in the general tech help board but thought a move here would garner more advice:
Hey all. Considering the purchase of a 2006 LR3 (v6) with 87k.
Here's a link to the listing:
Pre-Owned 2006 Land Rover LR3 SE Sport Utility in Louisville #US8999A | Tafel Motors
I'd appreciate any advice about what to look out for or thoughts about the v6 vs the v8. I've also read that the 2005 lr3 is to be avoided and to look for 2007 or newer...so where does that leave the '06
Thanks!

No 3rd row seats, smaller brakes, same big truck. Less power, same mileage (because it works harder to move it!)
Otherwise, it's a fine vehicle. Same interior, same issues.
I only recently got mine (a couple months ago now?) and looked at 15 or so of them before I found one I would buy.
Things to check
Air suspension, bring it up and down through all of its 3 positions. Give it a bit of time between them, as it'll work the pump a bit, especially if it's been sitting on a sales lot.
High and low range - Make sure it works. Throw trans into neutral and hit the switch to low range. I found several that didn't work. Often just the switch, but still.
If the rear wiper is going -- push the wiper stalk forward.... the first few I looked at had it on, and I didn't realize until running the washer on one of them that there was a 2nd detent for the rear wiper to stay on, front to back.
Check for looseness in the truck. MANY MANY of them went down the road like a truck, and I was assuming that's the way they rode, with the air suspension. The one I bought, drove like a car - no pulling, no sloshing around at all.
With all that said, I would still look for a V8 model, if for nothing other than the 3rd row. They fold flat into that rear floor, so you're not giving anything up by having them.
