Default Lr3 rear brakes

Hi. So I thought I was sneaky and I ordered a set of calipers for a v8 LR3 not my V6 simply because I thought there was not a difference. Well there is, as you know, as the calliper on the v8 takes a larger rotor. So I have the choice. Either replace the calliper bracket to one that fits a v6 or get bigger v8 rotors that will fit the pads and bracket properly. Either way, cost wise, it’s a wash. Thoughts?

Do you have different wheels than those that came with the vehicle? If not, I don't think they are going to fit right on with the larger assembly.

17's fit on stock V6 brakes, V8 brakes require 18" rims so that may decide for you.

If you are running 18s eventually, then you are fine. Just to finite the details, the calipers themselves I believe are the same. Its the caliper bracket that is different. And yes, the rotors too. So if you are just wanting to refresh the calipers for now you can just swap brackets from one to the other and enjoy the new calipers then later swap back when the rotors come in.
