Default Lr3 seat heater button

Hi, could you please help me concerning the below
my lr3 left rear seat heaters button is always lighting on .
But it is working normally if i press it level 1 the heaters work
level 2 the heaters work and the third press the heaters are off.
But in all positions the button is lighting on
i take it to a dealer change the button without any result
could you please help me what would be the problem

Possibly a short in the wiring for the light portion of the switch

I think there is a red and brown wire that comes out of the switch. There is likely a short between that wire and the ground somewhere. Might be in the connector itself or anywhere along the run up to the front of the car. I believe that's the wire that provides the "indication".
