I'm having a few issues with the transmission. RPM fluctuation around 1500 and also the occasional bump stop issue. Aside from that it's been good.
Depending on how much you drive it, it could take several more weeks before you notice an improvement. The changes in shift behavior following a fluid change occur slowly overtime as the TCM realizes the transmission is behaving differently during the shift. It will make changes slowly to preserve the integrity of the transmission. Expect to need a couple
dozen drive cycles and several hundred miles before a change is noticeable.

Some manufacturers allow you to reset a fluid counter in the TCM, but this is not the case with the ZF6HP26 in the LR3. Don’t be tempted to reset adaptations —that’s intended for hardware changes to the transmission.

Hi! How did it go?

Did you replace the mechatronics sleeve? Ive read that some pressure may leak through there and cause the 2-1 downshift issue when coming to a stop.

Also, theres a adaptation relearn procedure that you need to do with a series of drive cycle patterns.

Ill leave some youtube videos about the mentioned issues.

1.Tranny service:

2. Adaptations:

3. Mechatronics issue:

Which GAP tool do you have? Theres 2 options available, I need to buy one but dont know if its worth getting the expensier one!

Hope it helps!

There is only the gap BT or the gap pro version, unless you are running a workshop you wont need the pro version.

It is when one come to a "rolling stop". Basically pull up to a stop sign but never actually stop and then accelerate suddenly. What happens in the transmission sorta brain farts and you get a hard shift that does not feel right.

thank goodness we don't have that happening as well..
We do have this which concerns me.. while at stop maybe idling for a while standing waiting for wife in store when accelerating it seems to exhale wooooo with almost no pickup untill it reaches the next gear then all normal and effortless from then on stop and go. Any idea ..or should I start a new thread ? Thanks for your great advice over the years.

Try cleaning the throttle body if you have not yet. If that does not work, then probably a new thread. Any codes? Remember, not all codes will trigger a CE light. So you can have some with no light until a certain threshold is met, then the light turns on.
