LR3 Stock Nav
Has anyone integrated a tablet instead? I by far prefer my google maps and updates and download areas when I know I'm going to be outside of data range so I can have the satellite basemaps. I've figured it wouldn't be too difficult to have a tablet work as the Nav, Video, Music, and could even be set up to integrate with the EAS, and, potentially the Climate control. As I've looked at how much of these systems are controlled by the CAN system it doesn't seem that difficult which leads me to wonder, has anyone else done this already?
I got one with a wireless backup camera and free lifetime updates.
I have Garmin base camp and now have topographical maps and USGS survey maps available for my trips along the TAT.
I did need a MOST loop to make the car happy and keep the radio working, other than that it is the same size as the OEM, fit right in the opening behind the OEM trim piece and I now have a backup camera with guide lines.
I did give up the pretty picture of watching the wheels steer and the suspension moving up and down and knowing if my difs lock up or not, and the little window that never, and I mean NEVER shows the compass when I really need it.
Sorry to be that guy that goes the different route but..... no wait I own a Land Rover I love going a different route.

Rufflyer, that setup looks awesome! Snap a shot sometime of what your backup cam looks like. What did you use to make the nav and backup work together? Looks great!
ArmyRover I'd love to see what you're up to! PM me

Flyun;
Here the nit I bought. It came with:
Life time free updates,
Free traffic receiver,
Blue tooth connection for your phone (I use the upgraded unit I got from Wiggins on the DISCO3.UK forum),
Wireless backup camera (so you only need to tap into the reverse wires in the back and not run a video cable up to the dash)
And the ability to add custom maps through the Garmin base camp software, such as USGS survey maps and satellite terrain maps and more.
As you asked, here is a picture of the rear view camera.
and the box this thing came in.
