Before I dive under and puts around with the skid plate install, I am wondering if both factory plates come out or does it go on top the existing? The directions seem to indicate the front plastic one comes off, of course, but its not really clean on the others.

"Remove the bolts in the standard under-shield that is bolted between the front suspension wishbones and then remove this standard under-shield (These mounting holes will be re-used to secure the centre of the new steering guard)."

Surely the original metal bash plate would be removed first and if it extends forward then the plastic one as well.

 

Right, the plastic comes off as I mentioned too but its not exactly clear as to which bottom one as there are two. Guess I will find out when I install it, just waiting for the install kit from Terrafirma to arrive. UK post, so that may be a while.
