LR3 tire size
Anyone run 275/65/18 tires on stock LR3 ?im getting ready to buy new tires Michelin LTXMS2 going from 265/60/18 to 275/65/18 I’m pretty sure it’s doable just looking to confirm. Thanks
Good point I didn’t think about the spare. I got rid of the original donut a couple of years ago. I purchased a new 18” LR black wheel and put a new cheaper 265 60 18 tire on it which just fits underneath.
I think I’ll stay with the 265 60 18 Michelin LTX MS 2
I have another question
I recently pulled the AC compressor to replace a noisy clutch and bearing. I found a aftermarket uni. After I installed it when testing the coil portion was spinning with the pulley!! It severed the coil wiring ruining the coil. Disappointed but I’m baffled as to why the coil rotated with the pulley I made sure the coil pin on the back plate was positioned correctly when I installed it and I also put power to the coil before reinstalling the compressor making sure I had proper clearance and spacing when rotating manually and a good clutch pullin when energized???
I ordered a new clutch kit from a different manufacturer in Tennessee and made in the US. acclutches.com
but I’m still baffled as to why the coil itself spun with the pulley
maybe I tightened the clutch bolt to tight and it put to much pressure on the pulley binding the coil.
Any thoughts ??
