So tonight I crawled underneath and examined the Carrier. The rubber looks good but you can move the driveshaft up and down and side to side. Is that bad or normal?
Also, jacked up the back and both tires are firm side to side and top and bottom. Does that eliminate the rear hubs?
What should I check next?

So today I crawled underneath her and changed out the transfer case fluid because I've never done it and couldn't tell you the last time it was done .
The fluid that came out looked like pale strawberry milk. I'm guessing water has been in there. I drained it all out completely and even flushed it a little with new fluid.
Filled her up to spec but the problem is still there. Does the transfer case come into play while turning? Is mine toast?
I believe there is a locker or motor on the transfer case. Could that be messed up and always locking it so when I turn it is locked?

Has anyone been able to explain why a front driveshaft or rear for that matter could be causing your symptoms?
I can’t find a correlation, but what do I know.
