my mechanic says what I hear is normal...soft ticking, almost like valve lifterscoming from pass side of engine when running?Can anyone confirm this? Thanks....

 

Check exhaust manifold bolt torque, won't sound like a tractor, just a subtle ticking. Also, I have seen lifter tick on these as well. Could also bea timing chain tensioner that is failing. Your mechanic will need to use a stethescope to pinpoint the exact area where the tick is coming from.

 

It is a subtle ticking. Not real loud but noticable.
