Default Modern bluetooth additions?

I just picked up an 08' LR3 HSE. One of the first steps is of course getting tunes going.

Now I know I can search, and I have, for Bluetooth solutions. Most of these posts span a couple years back all the way to when BT came to be. I'm looking for what modern up-to-date solutions you guys like in the LR3.

I saw a promising post on the Cerwin Vega CVBTR4 that actually has you wire it into the aux and power and also amplifies. That looks hopeful.

I have used the Kinivo many times in the past but I'm looking for something stowed away if possible.

Also, there are a few units that people are talking about amplification. Where you don't need to turn up the AUX input as much as compared to the CD input. This would be a plus.

Thanks guys.

Subscribing! I have been trying to figure this out as well.

For now, I use this item linked below. Turns on automatically with vehicle. Audio quality is great. Volume does not seem much lower than other sources.

This person/company produces a plug-and-play integrated setup. When it works, it seems to work well. But build-quality is sub par from what I have read. The price is steep. And shipping? Good luck... many complain of long waits if ever getting it. For those reasons I have not purchased one yet. But the beauty is that you only pair once AND the steering controls work. Also the input level is the same as radio, etc. Right now, as you know, the aux is really quiet. Jumping between sources can be jarring!

If anyone has any recent updates on this product, that would be great.

The product sounds promising but the reviews are not good at first glance.

I would love to find something that does the exact same thing though. Direct wire in. Steering wheel controls.

Even is it's $$$, I really want something like this product.

There is a guy on North American land rover forums that is about to launch a new product, replaces whole aux panel at rear and has newest Bluetooth module.

I’m not so slick on Facebook. He says he has a site that will go live in a few days.

That looks like a great mod! Wonder what it will cost.
Only thing I don’t like about the CerwinVega is that I can only connect one device at a time. iPhone vs iPad...need to disconnect one to connect the other. I guess it would be good to be a hands free with a microphone, but not a big deal.
Price was not bad. Would do it again in a second.

Is that supposed to pop in place where the existing AUX port/power plate is now?

If so, my only gripe would be I wish there was a way to run the mic line from the internal side of the panel through the console. This would eliminate the need for any cables to stick out of it most of the time.

Any hope of steering wheel controls working with this?
