Modern bluetooth additions?

I, too, was eager to modernize BT connections in my 2007 LR3 HSE. In June 2016 I installed Wiggs' D4 BT Module and the African Outdoor BT Audio Module.
I'm very pleased with BT audio streaming (Music, Podcast, Audible books on tape apps) through African Outdoor module from my iPhone X. At first I thought there was a problem with the African Outdoor module- I reached out to the owner and he sent me a replacement at no cost. I later discovered the problem was caused by mounting the iPhone practically touching the factory radio- by moving the phone a few inches away, everything has worked reliably, including steering wheel controls for volume and track advance.
Using the Land Rover BT for hands-free cell phone calls has been less satisfying. Callers on the other end of the line tell me they can't hear me that clearly. Other people have better luck with this and I suspect my factory LR microphone in the headliner might be defective, not sure.
The biggest aggravation though has been when the iPhone is paired with African Outdoor and LR simultaneously, the iPhone's microphone setting for Siri always defaults to the African Outdoor module and Siri can't hear me.
As a work around I've lately been using my Apple Watch to send Siri commands and that seems to work pretty well. For best cell phone call experience while driving I sometimes put a single Apple AirPod into my right ear.
