Yeah this is incorrect for the LR3, RRS, FFRR etc..

Someone has subsequently mentioned every 5th press which is true, but it is ALSO dependent on vehicle speed, as it won't operate below a set vehicle speed - I suppose because the water will not clear off the headlights correctly.

Either way, the washer circuits and plumbing are DEFINITELY independent.

How are the polys doing, I've been reading conflicting reports. Some are saying they deteriorate within 2 months, others say they last forever.

Just had wheels off today for plastidip did not see any issues with the poly, and we have been to Virginia several times

I did figure out how to access the GPS unit in the center brake lite so now the nav is working again

Use hole saw and slowly drill 2" hole, plug it back in and glue in a 2" PVC plug, I was way off first time but second hole as seen in pic was spot on, I just winged it, better then buying a new lens for now

Default Brilliant - really is.

You have found the fix. Cutting an access hole that no one sees is close to brilliant.

Could you retake and post a picture with a tape measure showing so we can benefit from your learning experience.

The correct hole looks to be about 2" to the left of the right edge so a jpg with a tape measure there would be nice.

Also what problem did you solve or were just installing a GPS antenna for a non stock GPS?

Your idea would also work for installing a cell phone booster antenna. I have one in my 3 located on the underside of the rear glass so it looks thru the reflective glass. That location seems to work, but I always wondered if the reflective stuff in the roof glass somewhat blocks cell phone signals.

What I also like about your hole procedure is that if one found a rubber cap of suitable dimensions and rigidity, you could have pop on pop off access. One could also mount rear cameras up there as well - better out of road spray than down low and with a different angle of view - more like on a big Winnebago.

I had changed the hatch and there is no way to plug the GPS in unless you replace that lens, rave shows wrong location

I would prefer a flat or domed cap instead of a cup but its what I could get today in 2"

Here's pics I would drill slightly right of where my hole is as I did nick the corner of the GPS box and drill slooooow, as you can lift it out as it breaks through all the way
