Finally shes fixed!

Took to my local Rover shop. Austin Rover Works. Ken test drove it with me and said it felt like the cv axle. Then we got under it and he showed me how you could push up on the axle shaft and the bearings moved in the cup and you could hear it.

So he sold me a new driver side axle. The new axle is PDL brand (professional drive line) and it was noticeably heavier and the cup was larger.

I returned the autozone one and got my money back on that one.

This new PDL axle fixed my click AND fixed my vibration.

Yet it was a GKN shaft? Damn.... Autozone selling fakes maybe? At least you figured it out!

Point of order…the gkn is on my rear prop shaft not the cv axle. I mis-worded that earlier
