Default Name that part

I pulled off the engine cover today to get to my coolant hose fix. I see this part sitting atop the manifold. No clue what it is or where it came from.

Looks like what's left of a destroyed bleeder valve.

Do I need this thing? In the picture is the inline fitting that I fixed. The white piece is a new, temporary, fitting. Is that where the bleeder valve used to live?

Yes, swap in a brass bar-bed connector from Home Depot.

Will do. I used the exact same brass fitting in my Porsche when the same type of coolant hose failure occurred.
