Default Nav Screen and Radio Completely dead

Hi there. Does anyone know if these two splices could be connected to my lack of power to my radio and nav screen? Last week, I was on a mission to diagnose a passenger power window issue and someone made the recommendation to re-splice these two bad boys. That did NOT resolve my window issue. The window issue turned out to be a fuse that I wasn’t checking. It was a Great day until I saw i put everything back together to find my radio was dead.

I have checked all fuses in both the engine bay and behind the glove box that are mentioned on the wiring diagram. They all checked out okay.

I also attempted some elaborate reset procedure that did not work.

any suggestions ? I need tunes.

As said by the sir before me try to hard reset. You can also disconnect you battery leave it sit for a while and mash your + and - cables of the car together keep them like that for 30s or something like that and if you see no results then check the wiring and if that does not lead you anywhere then you nav might have died keep trying different solutions tho

Looks wet in there and that second butt connector higher up in the picture has green corrosion in it. I'd start by cutting out that section of wire and using 2 new butt connectors with a short new piece of wire. I wouldn't bee surprised if you have other splices in there that are wet and damaged. The moisture could have also caused a short blowing a fuse so I'd check all your nav related fuses behind the glove box and under the hood. Once you figure out your electrical issues you need to figure out why water is getting in. Could be a broken sunroof drain tube and/or a leaking cowl cover.

I’ve soldered in all new splices in the footwell already and checked all fuses.

I have an issue where there is NO power to fuse 58p. I see some mention of this issue in other posts but the posters never updated the posts to report out the final verdict.

yesterday, I jumped this fuse from another fuse to see if the radio would start up. The nav screen came alive with the Land Rover logo only - but the
radio was still dead.

I’m starting to believe my head unit is actually dead.

anyone know if I can just swap in a used one or will I need a dealer intervention?

Pretty sure you can just swap in a used one.

You can swap them with no issues as long as the replacement is working correctly. This is how I finally had to fix my stuck in Phone Mode issue, replacement radio from ebay for $200.
