Hi again all you Land Rovians!
I am ordering a GAP IIDTool and a new key for my LR3. I know I will be able to program the key, but I do not know where I can get the key cut at. I have never had a copy made of a key like this one for the LR3. It would seem to me that your average key cutting locations like at Lowes/ Walmart/ Ace would not be able to do this type of key. Maybe they do and I just don't know. Anyway, I am looking for a good recommendation for a place to go. I live in Spokane, WA. I do have a dealer close to me but I don't like to get overcharged. Also, just to be clear, I do have 1 working key.

 

I visited many local locksmiths (no lowes or the like can do them) and finally found 1 that "could"
But they just got the machine, and were not trained yet so didn't know "how it worked"

On a whim, I tried my local Ford dealer, and they cut it for me in 1 min - and didn't even charge me!
He said he was curious if it would work, and it "only took the push of a button"

I suggest trying Ford before searching for someone else
