New alternator time

New alternator time
well, on the drive home last night the red battery light came on in our 2005 LR3 4.4. I tested the battery voltage with the truck off, 12.25. With it running 11.50. I have also noticed a loud whining sound the last couple of weeks. I thought that it may have been a bad idler pulley.
I checked for for a new Denso alternator. Dealer $800. British parts utah $350. Rockauto remanufactured $150. Ebay around $350 plus
Does anyone one have experience with the remanufactured alternator from rockAuto?
The removal and replacement looks looks pretty straightforward.
Thoughts. Thanks. Phil
2005 LR3 HSE 4.4 135,000 miles.
Does anyone

A quick update, I checked with a local wrecking yard, $75 and a 30 day warranty. AES a local rebuilder of automotive things electronic didn't have a rebuilt in stock. They will rebuild my OEM Alternator for $80 and offer a 5 year warranty. Aside from having to take it out, deliver it to the shop and go back when it is done, not a bad way to go. Has anyone dealt with AES in San Diego? They have worked on some of my Chevy Truck parts over the years. I have been pleased with their work. Phil
