Default New Experience

Had the 3 out for a nice run today along some twisty up and down roads and experienced something I hadn't felt before. When I would come into a turn somewhat aggressively, I'd feel a shudder under my feet and the power was cut back. I realized it was the driveline compensating for what it felt to be a potentially dangerous situation but I wasn't going that fast or on the edge enough to warrant this intervention. Anyone else experience this? Is it an indication of a problem with the transfer case or sensors?
Thanx for any and all replies...

Also to add, stopped at a store and when I came out the wife had accidently depressed the hill descent button and when I was backing out of my parking space, there was a grinding sound and the truck came ot a stop. Not knowing what it was yet, I put it in drive and carefully pulled away only to get the same grinding noise. Thats when I did a scan of the dash and seen the hill descent was activated. Turned off and drove away without isssue.... weird, not what I would expect.

Not sure what the first issue was. Are all four of your tires the same size? (don't assume, physically look at all the sizes!) Are all four tires worn the same (tread depth). i.e. do you have two worn tires and two new tires?

As for Hill Descent, it works with the ABS system, so when you let off the gas to coast, the ABS engages. The grinding noise is normal.

all 4 tires are the same... new less than 6 months ago. It was like it was detecting slippage and was cutting power and applying brakes but I wasn't pushing the truck that hard, I didn't think.

Were you in normal mode or a Terrain Response setting like Grass/Gravel/Snow? The DSC can become more aggressive in some modes.

No, that was the first thing I checked.... any idea how the transfer case works? Is it clutch packs? I thought it might be related to the t case... low oil maybe? I assume it has a fill port on the side... is there a special procedure for checking the level like with the tranny?
