I really just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I love forums at least ones that are informative. I have a 76 datsun 280Z 2+2 and have got much help from that forum.

Enough of that. I recently purchased a 2008 Land Rover LR3 with a V8 engine. I plan on using the vehicle as a daily driver but also towing a semi light weight camper.

I have a starcraft 21 ft hybrid camper that weighs about 3000 lbs. I usually travel with about 500 lbs of added weight and 600 lbs of people.

I have read a few of the other posts in regards to towing but just want to get some added advise. Any help or things to consider would be appreciated. Two things I noticed in my reading was discussion about side mirror extensions and different types of ball hitches. Is the hitch that comes in the kit all I need or should I look for something else. Something about different heights and I read one post about the tongue weight.

Any advise or guidance would bee appreciated.

Thanks.

there seems to be 2 factory versions of the adapter, and at least 2 aftermarket versions

not sure whats best, guessing the height difference may only effect departure angle if you left it in and went wheeling, I am sure someone with experience will chime in , my used factory hitch was lost 3 weeks ago by fedex, you do need to buy a trailer harness wiring kit though to hook into the lr3 harness

btw there is a guy on ebay selling the atlantic british style aftermarket ones cheap class 3? like 125-175 cheap

Default adding wood cargo carrier while towing

Has anyone found a good way while towing to carry fire wood. Unfortunately my trailer does not have a square tube bumper on the back. I was thinking of a two way receptacle but concerned that this may cause issues.

Thoughts. Pictures.
