New to Land Rover. LR3 height problems
Hi everyone! I just purchased my first ever Land Rover. It's a 2006 LR3 SE w/ 4.4 V8 with some known problems.
So my LR3 sometimes is in the Off Road mode and I can't lower it with the switch. To get it to lower I have to drive 20-30 mph before it will automatically lower itself. Access mode is not functioning at all. I've tried to reset the system by unplugging the battery and that didn't solve anything. I don't see any error lights on the dash and I don't have a GAP tool yet...Would the GAP tool be able to fix this? What else can I try?
I also have no air coming out of the dash vents. I've tried resetting the system or blend door actuators by holding the ECON and Recirc buttons down, while simultaneously turning the ignition on. Still no luck. Any ideas on this?
Thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer.

Welcome! The good thing about being an old vehicle is that many of the most common issues are well known and have solutions. For this issue there is a really good chance the switches are bad. Corrosion is likely due to spilled drink or the sunroof being left open. While they are, in theory, sealed - it was not well done.

No air at all or just the dash vents, meaning defrost works fine? For the vents there is a good chance an actuator motor or its arm is broke. If the motors themselves are responding correctly then it is probably an arm that broke. A GAP tool would help diagnose the issue but if you have a scope camera you may be able to watch them work with that and find the issue. You could also have a HVAC control panel issue. Warning, the truck with not start with the HVAC control panel disconnected. No clue why....
