New to me LR3 - Best way to avoid EPB issues?
Just though of this one or I would have included it in another thread I started.
What's the best way to avoid issues with the EPB--electronic parking brake? Use it frequently ( so it stays lubed and functional?) or abstain from its use to avoid putting wear and tear on it such that it lives its longest possible life?
I've recently watched a couple nightmare videos on the issue and not sure what to do here?
Thanks in advance guys.

I am in the "use on hills, not in a flat garage" camp
I have over 206k miles on what I believe is the original EPB system (no service mentioned before me, and no issues for me)

I agree with these guys, but first, I would follow the service manual to get it set up properly, and then bed-in the shoes exactly as listed in the manual. Right after fluid and filter changes and air suspension calibration, rebuilding the EPB is high on my list.

Yeah... that bedding in bit is pretty important for proper operation. Also there is a video that explains that cheap shoes can be an issue because of design, although a grinder can fix the issue. I will post link if I find it again.
