Would it be easy for a first timer? What specialty tools are required?

Torx sockets, breaker bar, torque wrench, the recommended replacement bolts at your discretion and LR recommendation.

My only worry are the halfshafts. No special tools for removal/reinstall?

Just went out to take a look under the thing to see what's all involved and it looks like it's now leaking transmission fluid. Was dry when I took it to the dealer......wth

Stupid questions.
Can the halfshafts just be pulled out of the diff or is there something holding them in?
Will the exhaust need to be cut per the repair manual or can you just drop it from the hangers?

There are circlips if I recall. Drop me a PM w/email and I'll send you the manual.

Thanks again unseenone, I do have a manual, but doesn't exactly instruct you how to pull the halfshafts out. It just states to "release the halfshaft". Someone else was saying to tap it with a mallet in the direction it comes out. I guess that would get the snap ring to "release"? Sorry for being a PITA. Just being overly cautious since I've never done this before.
