A little bit of a hi-jack, but when did they add the tire pressure reset button shown here?

Default never saw that either

I suppose it must have been 2008 or 09 when tyre pressure monitoring was introduced?

Both of my 06 have or had tpms but no button. Not that I think I need it. I was just wondering.

Default What does the TPMS button do?

I did not realize that one could get the TPMS as early as model year 2006.

My early experience with TPMS was that false alarms occurred due to any number of reasons. I presume the addition of the button was to cancel the alarms, real or otherwise.

Without the button, what would happen when a concern was noted by the system - constant alarm noises or ?

The TPMS light illuminates, you get one chime (or bong sound), and then it stays on until you air up again and drive I think 5 min at 40mph or above.

Unfortunately mine illuminate if any of the tires dips below 36-37psi. Too sensitive for my tastes but they have their place.

And that's why I don't run TPMS...

Besides, I never run at OEM tire pressures anyway. My street pressure is more like 50 and off-road anywhere from 12 to 25.

Mine pops up a message on the cluster that says to check all the tires.
