P0171 pcv?
New here, just picked up 2006 LR3 4.4 SE with 210k miles and while it had a bunch of suspension related issues, there were no engine codes.
I've been dealing with failing compressor and silica dust in the valves, looking for a new front diff and chasing few other issues, been driving it daily and trying to make sense of all the random codes I have been getting for suspension and transfer case modules when CEL came on, persistent P0171 code
Found several threads, different solutions, not seeing a consistent answer.
I have ONLY P0171 code, started shortly after I was checking AC system pressure so I was poking around the driver's side of the engine (in USA) and P0171 is bank 1 which is passenger, so probably a coincidence... clear the code and it comes back shortly, live data looks similar on both sides, however I was driving and trying not to crash while looking at the tablet.
Cleaned MAF for good measure, although I suspect MAF would trigger 0171 and 0174, checked for air leaks around intake pipes, all looks good.
Found one thread where someone swapped PCV and fixed the issue.
Failing PCV would make most sense when you have lean condition only on one bank, has anyone else had any luck fixing 0171 by replacing PCV? Also is this something that needs to come from JLR? I see plenty of aftermarket ones...

I have an '06 4.4L with 80,000 miles. I replaced my PCV as a service item not long after I bought the vehicle about 18 months ago. Fairly certain it hadn't been changed since new. I got burned early using non OEM parts so the PCV was a genuine LR part. I know it's more expensive but less hassle in the long run.
I've had the P0171 code but that was a simple vacuum leak due to the "accordion " hose connecting the air box to the throttle body working loose from the clamp. It looked fine but it wasn't all the way in. Apparently, the smallest leak can throw that code.

I just replaced mine for good measure for a actual LR OEM one. It was not much and a lot of codes that I thought were leaning towards a O2 sensor went away, not sure why since I am almost certain my codes were rich related and not lean. Super easy to do and as Summit said, I always do them proactively/maintenance .
