P0174 air filter?
First, which MAF did you buy. Those guys like to pass off aftermarket as "OEM". That is why I said get a Denso MAF, cheper and it literally is OEM. Also, did you reset engine adaptations after the swap? You should because the old and new MAF could be presenting different readings. Never mind that is seemed to run fine at first. Just do it to be certain. Because if the old MAF was causing lean the new one, now reading correct, would throw things rich.
Ok, thanks for the reply. The new MAF might not be Denso, they don't list the brand name but there a more expensive on also that is OME.
So, are you saying I should re-install the new MAF and clear adaptive values and try again? I put my old one back in last night, cleared the codes and went for a very long drive. Everything is is running fine with the old one. I didn't clear the values. also the codes have not come back.
I guess I'll clear values with old one and drive for a bit. then try the new one again clearing the values. does that make sense?
Apologies, totally forgot about the adaptive values but honestly though, would this cause so much grief with a new MAF. The truck wouldn't idle and stalled out at stop signs.

Today I just started reading this thread as I'm having a similar problem with my "new to me" 2007 LR3. Engine seems to be running perfectly, but I am repeatedly getting a code P0172. I have cleaned the MAF sensor but still getting the code. I got new iCarsoft LR V3.0 to help me. It sounds like maybe I need to do an "adaptive reset" but I'm not sure what that is. Is that the same as a service reset?
Also, what originally drove me to this thread was that I had replaced my air filter (an Ecoguard). Might a good test be to simply remove the air filter completely, and run the engine?
I sure would appreciate any thoughts!!
