Parking brake kit
Hey guys.
I got the dreaded parking brake module noise. Right side still locks up fine but left side seems to be gone. So I’m thinking the module is still working fine. I’m going to buy a parking brake shoe kit and get that working before I drop coin on a new module. Atlantic British are out of stock of the parking break pad kits. Can anyone point me to another comparable kit? Most of the eBay kits look sketchy.
also, noob questions, but… I know once we get into the rear brake pads those might have to be replaced too? Is this correct? And should I be thinking about replacing the rotors? I don’t have previous history of the vehicle so I have no idea when they were last replaced. Probably due.

Do a Google search for “Bodsy’s Brake Bible”. You may not need new pads, possibly just an adjustment of the shoes like any other parking brake.
Other parts suppliers I like are FCP Euro (lifetime warranty) and Rock Auto (great selection if you know what brands you prefer, and generally the best price).
There’s no reason IMO to replace a rotor unless it’s overly worn (deep grooving or high outside edge) or warped. Unless you notice a shudder when braking now, it’s probably fine. You can inspect it when you take the wheel off and decide.

right on, thanks for the reply (sorry it took me so long to get back to you), so just to confirm, i may need new parking brake pads, but i probably don't need a full new parking brake kit and I definitely dont need new bike kit?
