Hi Alex - Thank you. I purchased the whole kit about 200K miles ago - was well worth the $100.00 LMK if anyone needs.

I had already referenced the wiring diagrams for this mechanism. I try not to be lazy and do my homework before I post on here.

Link here to just the window wiring diagrams, selfishly, in the event it helps someone help me..

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1O08...ew?usp=sharing

My challenge is
1) I don't read them well
2) I see NO reference of ground points and where they might be for the window lift. (As i mentioned, I cleaned up ALL the ground points in the footwell for "fun" yesterday". Didn't help.
3) there is mention of a relay, and I cannot seem to find this relay.

To underscore my issue; I have NO life at the passenger window switch harness. Maybe this oversimplifies the issue, but to me, I am now looking for what would prevent me from getting the signal/power to this switch.

If I attempt to read this diagram, it leads me to two places - 1) the ecu and 2) the relay (that I can't find).

1. Make sure there is power going to the drivers window control unit.
2. Make sure the lock out switch on the driver window unit is letting power go to the rear windows.

This is often the issue.

Hope this helps.

The relay looks like it is integrated into the central junction box, this is the big black module behind the glove box. I called it a general module because that's what BMW calls them, 12 year former BMW tech. Looking at the factory diagram it shows the dashed lines with central junction box at the top, then window relay towards the middle. This is designating that the relay is in the CJB. Lots of relays and circuit connections get built into these. The plus is it helps simplify the complex electrical systems the downside is sometimes a simple relay can no longer be tested or replaced because it's an integrated internal component of the module.

The thing I would try to track down is a connector view of the window motor so you can properly put direct power to it to test the motor on its own without it being part of any wiring in the vehicle. This will tell you for sure if the motor is bad. The other thing would be to test continuity of the wires between the switch and motor connection and between the switch and the connection at the CJB.

Have you ever had water get in the passenger side of your LR3?

Just had a similar issue replacing the front passenger window, found that the maintenance manual written explanation had fuse 30 (unused position) as power for the window motor and it wasn't. After looking through the wiring diagrams here's what I discovered:

North American Specification 2007 LR3, all these fuses are located in the Central Junction Box behind the passenger side glove compartment

Driver's side window motor fuse is 7P, 25 Amps and is white
Passenger side front window motor fuse is 21P, 25 Amps and is white
Driver's side rear passenger window motor fuse is 31P, 20 Amps and is yellow
Passenger side rear passenger window motor fuse is 17P, 20 Amps and is yellow

These power connections first go to the switches on the driver's door and then to the sub doors, if the switch at the destination door is open or not installed (or the fuse is blown) then that window will not operate. After much gnashing of teeth and confusing measurements on my multimeter I discovered the correct wiring diagram and a fuse chart that agreed with each other, located and replaced the blown fuse 21 in the CJB and managed to install and operate the replacement window. Hope this is of assistance to others...
