Please help
Ok so today I took my LR3 to the car wash and I poped the hood and just gently sprayed off the dust. When I was done and then went to leave I started getting all sorts of warnings. Transmission fault HDC fault and all the guages, door locks, and warning lights were freaking out. Ok so obviously water got somewhere it was not ment to be.
On the way home it was saying gear change limited and I don't think it would come out of second gear.
Not sure what to think or do. Any one out there had a simular issue. Will letting it dry out fix the problem. Please any help would be awesome.
Thanks

I am not a mechanic but I would let it dry out then see how it acts. My dad thought the dash on one of his vehicles was dusty so he put the pressure washer to it and what do you know it wouldnt start for a few days after we got it dried out it ran fine and never had any problems. If it was me I would let it dry out for a day or 2 then see how it runs if you still have issues take it in. I dont know if you want to tell them what you did. hopefully someone else will chime in here as well
The transfer case control module is under hood. If the sealing grommets for the module
harness are not fully in place, then water gets into the connectors for the module, creating a short circuit to every terminal in the connectors. the result in drying out is
corrosion creating high resistance in the circuits. Water will also get into the module. A
new transfer case control module will be required and the connector terminals must be
cleaned up. You might have a similar thing going on with the engine compartment fuse box judging from the other symptoms.
