Gents: 137k on the rover and going to have my Indy do my belts. Researching that, I have questions.

Plan is : to replace both belts. Not just the one. The. I read some pulley should replaced if you're doing belts. Ok. I'll do that too. Why not. But what about water pump on this thing? When do these things tend to crap the bed and if this was your truck at 137 with the original pump, would you? What else?

I looked at cubby to see if I could find the water pump question in the Maintenance schedules. Couldn't locate. Thanks for help guys.

 

Opinions may vary, but the odds if it failing are starting to turn less in favor of it hanging in there. And when it goes, you're stuck. But, if you decide to stick it out, at least do the tstat if you have not. That is more likely to go sooner rather than later, and at least the pump may give you a growl or weep slightly before checking out. The tstat will be much more spontaneous and run a greater chance of cooking your motor. Just my .02.

That info probably will not be in cubby. There's no real interval for a pump like that.
