Default Questions on a LR3 rear heater hose relocation due to going up in larger tire size.

I’m in the process of going to larger tires this weekend. Curious if there’s an in depth thread involving the cutting of the rear fin protecting the aluminum hoses. Also where the cut and the splicing of the heater hoses takes place at what the sizes are and the materials needed. I called myself searching but I can’t find anything. Thanks guys. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Default Should be...

...also try landroverworld.org or dot-com. The search may be tricky because the keywords have more to do with tires and tire size than the hoses.

...but the info is out there for sure! I didn't re-lo the pipes because when I ordered mine (I'd saved up for many years) I made sure to order a 5-seater and hence decided I did not need rear climate control. So no pipes. When I took care of that metal fin, I didn't cut it I flattened it with a blacksmith hammer, then primed and painted it. Done.

So you just flattened the fin? What about the 2 heater hoses did you not get any rubbing? Also how larger of a tire did you go with 33’s or 34’s

Default Read my post, perhaps...?

I flattened it, primed it and painted it.

No hoses there on my vehicle because it doesn't have the climate control in the rear.

I run 275/65R18s which are about 32.6" OD according to Cooper's website.
