Default Radiator sealant

Hello,
Does sealant still work as it should if you pour in the reservoir but take like 2 days before starting the engine?

I’m sure you’re aware of it but that isn’t the most optimal way to fix a leak…

Replace. The radiators are not expensive. Sealant is a temporary fix, if it works at all. You can open up the upper radiator hose and add it that way. The expansion tank is not really a reservoir.

Replace....if anything starts going wrong with the engine you will start second guessing yourself from using the sealant. Same goes with head gasket sealant.

Thanks for the guidance. I tasked the mechanic to take time and find the leakage. It was as some socket.
Thanks
