Rear Fog Lights

Rear Fog Lights
Hey everyone!
So, my '06 LR3 has had an issue with the rear fog lights for about 4 years now. When I first noticed the issue, the rear fog light indicator on the dash would illuminate, but the lights would not turn on. So, I replaced the bulbs and tried it again, still was an issue. I took a voltmeter to each rear light assembly, and noticed there was not as much voltage to the assemblies wiring harnesses as there should be. So, I believe there is a short somewhere. I ended up leaving it alone for a while and have lately been noticing that the dashboard illumination does not appear anymore. I am tempted to rework the wiring at the back of the vehicle to get these lights working again, but am unsure how to do this as I would have to eventually implement the new wiring into the assembly receiver, which is probably infeasible.
I know these lights are not critical, but they look dope. So, I wanna fix them.
Has anyone had this issue with their LR3? Any suggestions on how to fix?

Check voltages at the connector on the left and right sides, swap tail lights and check again. If voltage on left is still the same voltage as was before on the left, the issue is in the car. Check fuses, wire bundles etc. The wire diagram would help in locating junctions and connections.
If (as I suspect) the voltage from the left side is now on the right side, it is most likely the wire harness that or the actual bulb sockets them selves that attach t the ail light assembly.
< $40 item.
If nothing else this will eliminate one of the harnesses.
Hope this helps
