Default rear hatch removal

I want to swap out the upper rear hatch, there are 2 boots where wiring goes into it, drivers side is 2 big plugs so that's easy,
passenger side has the washer hose 1 wire and 2 coax cables

I can unhook everything but 1 coax, it runs up to the brake lite area and we can't figure out how to get to it or unhook it, I followed it in the cab but it does not unplug anywhere in the harness.

the rover tech can't figure it either , they seem to be some type of antennae signal boosters

looks like it goes to a block directly under the brake lite but I cannot even push the block out because I cannot access it enough to get to one of the tabs
the brake lite is permanent glued in
ideas??

Default GPS antenna?

When I was doing some research for adding a cell phone booster I looked at the antenna diagram in the manual. As I recall the wart on the roof has the cell phone and satellite receiver antenna and the GPS is in the bulge with the upper brake light. That part, I believe is glued in place and is hard to remove.

followup, apparently further research has led me to the fact that you cannot unplug that cable without breaking the 3rd brake lite for access and installing a new lens

we did attempt cutting the lens out but the body gap around the lens will not accomidate any windshield tool we have

wish I knew what it was I would just cut the dam thing off

cutting it is an option if someone knows there I can get a real small coax splice, similar to real skinny cb coax

worst part about it is the factory service manual is wrong it shows the second coax going to a surface mounted module on the hatch just like the first coax that you can just unplug, both the 05 and 06 I have are the same though with it running up under the Brake lite

Gonna do this swap, but now I can't get the donor open, guess the battery is to dead, is there a bypass to unlatch the hatch

how did the replacement of the upper lift gate go? I’m looking at doing the same thing … any recommendations regarding the coax cable and the spray hose …

thanks
