I have an 08 LR3 where the DVD player isn't working, screen is white. I can get a replacement from an 06 LR3 at a local salvage yard. Before I do this, I wanted to ask if the 06 would fit in my 08?

 

Why waste money on replacement? My kids are using iPads for everything in the car, including movies.

The link below is to an album within which you will find three files specific to the Rosen in my 2005 LR3 and I expect also in your 2008; other of the files relate to the infotainment systems as it is all related.

In otherwords, I doubt there is much difference between 2006 and 2008 in the Rosen unit - if the electrical plugs fit, it will be the same.

The big change was in 2009; prior to that, any changes were to fix the problems of the 2005/2006. By the way, 2008 was about the best LR3 built; in 2009, they were experimenting with LR4 systems.

Huge thanks to abran and bbyer for the info on the rover. I got the replacement one off of ebay and swapped it out. Fit 100% and powered right up. Thread can be considered closed!
