I recently purchased a 2006 LR3. It came with only 1 key. I want another key. On ebay, there are a few people who are selling "tested/OEM" FOBs and uncut blades. Can I buy this and take it to the dealer to get cut and reprogrammed?

Dont waste your time. I tried this and the dealer will tell you they can't program it (even though they probably can). You just have to suck it up and shell out the $250 or so bucks for a new one programmed for your vehicle from your local dealer. They have you by the ***** on this one.

 

My local Home Despot sells "factory approved transponder keys".

Whether they'll have one for your Landy is an open question, but they were like 50 or 60 bucks.
