Replacement Key Questions
Anyone had to replace a key? Apparently keys come from England and have to be programmed at a dealer at a total cost of a trip to Disneyland. Are there any other solutions out there?
All the info I saw about replacing a key was dated, and I was wondering if anyone came up with an affordable solution as of yet...
Thanks guys.

I had to replace a key about 4 months ago. I searched around and there really aren't many options. I bit the bullet and had the dealer get the key (it took about 10 days) and then program the truck to it. Basically when all was done it was about $350.
There are some people working on getting the "cheap" eBay new keys working, but as of yet, most report that it isn't successful.
There shouldn't be any reason a "clone-able" transponder key shouldn't work, because the computer wouldn't be able to tell it from the original, but there must be some missing step somewhere.
