Replacement key for the stock Land Rover crossbars on a 2006 LR3?
Somebody stole (or I lost through an act of incomprehensible but not out of the question stupidity) the little pouch I keep in the lower glove compartment of my 2006 LR3 that contained my registration, insurance card, and most salient to this post, the only key I possessed for the Land Rover brand crossbars that sit securely locked on top of my ride. I can't imagine that I'll ever remove the crossbars because my extremely useful rack is attached to them and because the crossbars were a minor PITA to get in the position I want, but I like to be prepared for all eventualities. My first question to you all is whether the keys to the OEM crossbars are the same for every set or if there are variations in the patterns? My guess is that the crossbars came with the vehicle when first sold so they are likely to be of 2006 vintage. My second question is whether you have any ideas of where I might find a replacement, or should I just live with the crossbars where they are until the day (hopefully decades away) when the LR3 heads off to the junkyard?
Thanks,

Brilliant intel! Based on your advice, I searched and found that Thule racks have a code stamped on the front of the lock. eBay has a pair of keys that should work for about $12 including shipping.
Thanks so much...
