Within in the next five years, Land Rover will get rid of its naming practice so that each model has just one name worldwide. That means no more of LR2 or LR4 names.

We’re not sure if Land Rover will carry on using the Freelander and Discovery names since the name badging hasn’t really caught on in the United States.
WTF? Who writes this crap?

They changed to numerical terms to make people forget about the discovery and the freelander issues. Especially the freelander.

Yeah, I know. And apparently Land Rover figured Americans were the only ones dumb enough to not notice.
