Thanks,
I ordered a set today.Planning to be pretty busy this weekend so I started on the roof rack.
Not quite done but it seems to be very well made for the price.Ran out of sun and blood from the mosquitoes!

Trying to get her as close to my Disco 1 as I can.I love the Saudi mod I did and was looking to do something similar but this one is just too nice.Went with a kit from CarID.Simple install and it looks pretty cool.May see if I can buy the Hood blackout at a local sign company.Interesting side story,I picked up the new tags today and the first three letters are my daughters initials.....What are the odds.

Today was a busy day. Replaced pan/filter and fluid in transmission.Flushed and filled power steering. All that is left for maintenance is rear and front diff. Also today I started to get a loud whine in the front end.I tracked it down to the Alternator and once again more parts ordered. The whine sounds like I have a super charger.

How hard was it to change your pan/transmission filter? Did you replace with the plastic pan or the metal pan? How long did it take you? Did you do it in the driveway or use a lift of some sort, ramps, jack stands? Not too much room to maneuver under the LR3 for a transmission filter change. I have a new metal pan and about to perform this job. I've done a partial oil flush using the cooler tubes from the radiator.

It was one hell of a home job.I used ramps.Jack to raise the engine and three neighbors to help.I still smell like transmission fluid.Neighbor also had a good pump which helped.Went with a plastic pan/filter.Imho not a good home job.

Today I woke up with a head cold so I thought I would work it off.Well that doesn't work.
As Unseenone has warned many times change the Diff fluid often.I manage to change the front fluid out before bowing down to this head cold.I am at 78,000 and that was some nasty stuff .I didn't have too much flake on the magnet but the fluid was bad.I will be changing again at the next oil change.
