ride Module reconfiguration?
Anyone knows how to reconfigure the ride module after replacing the susp. air compressor with same Hitachi model ?
will a reg. mechanic shop be able to do it? or does it need to be done by Land Rover Dealership Only???
closest dealership is about 2 hours from me ...
Thank you

Question are you just replacing the compressor or are you going from springs back to air?
If just replacing the compressor it is plug and play, if the latter then you will need to reset the bcm for air and not coils.
You won't need a dealer but you will need someone with one of a 1/2 dozen machines that can do it.

Have you replaced the compressor already? I wouldn't think you would have to do anything, but I've never replaced the compressor. I replaced my air springs a couple years ago and I didn't have to anything because of that change.
I just replaced the compressor on the LR3 but still susp. amber light now its red...codes are: U421-41, B1A00-46, U0155-87, C1A13-64 after replacement.
When I called Land Rover dealership they said Module needs to be reconfigured ..?

I've moved to the LR3 forum.
The module should only need reconfigured if you change type from hitachi to AMK. There are updates to the hitachi software, but even if it's running old hitachi software it should still run. Does the scanner not give text for those error codes?

When I swapped mine it did not require any update. Try deleting all codes and see if they return. Good luck. Phil

AS ...it turns out the "new" compressor had a bad valve that caused the code C1A13-64 .
As far as the other codes YES the Control Module requires to be recalibrated/programmed to the new component ..even if its the same model compressor.
Now All the other codes are cleared.
Im just going to have the shop replace the valve with a better one sold from Land Rover Dealer to clear the C1A.. code and everything should be happy
So for future reference: New compressor = New programming no matter what.
The recalibration was not that expensive ($50).
I wanted to thank you guys for all your help you guys rock!
