Default Roof wiring routing/access

Looking to run a CB antenna and several lights.

Anybody got pics of routing?

Going to install a raised air intake, so could go in the snorkel but want options.

houm_wa? Did he do a CB/ham install write up?

Abran, only way I have seen it routed in person is someone put a hole in the a pillar down low and ran wires from hood to a pillar, under the a pillar trim and then to the roof.

Otherwise I might consider putting a hole in the roof right in the middle in front of the sunroof, if there's nothing there.

I assume you're looking to run up the front for the lights? Where are you looking to install the CB antenna? Front or back? I've done both and could snap some pictures.

Front, Sides, and Rear for lights, not sure about CB. Never mounted one!

The rear is really easy. The easiest thing to do (if you have the towing harness) is to bring the wires out from the compartment where the rear a/c is, through the rubber boot/grommet that the trailer wires pass through and into the little cavity behind the driver taillight. If you don't have the trailer wiring or want to go out the other side, just punch a small hole in the boot/grommet and do it the same way.

Once you're behind the taillight, there's plenty of room to snake it out the top or side of the light. I generally snaked it out the side of the light towards the center of the car and then just brought it up in the tailgate channel. Plenty of room at the top to bring it to the roof.

For the front, I routed the wires behind the aux battery box, underneath that black plastic windshield cowling and then up the outside of the A-pillar (under the black plastic a-pillar moulding). At the top of the moulding, if you have small gauge wire, you can twist it and immediately route it underneath the black roof track. Mine was a little too large (12 awg maybe), so I had to make a small cut and put some black caulk in to cover up that area. It's pretty small and unnoticeable in person when you see it.

I ran my wires through the firewall plug driver side under the brake booster for my switches in the cabin, and ran the light wires up the passenger side a pillar up to my roof and then ran a wire to my rear roof work light and front light bar.
