Default roofrack/crossbars

I heard Yakima makes the crossbars for the LR3. Can anyone confirm this? Or are they a dealer item only?

I use my old Yakima round bars from my old car. Yakima makes control towers that mount to the roof rails. To go this route, you'll need landing pads, control towers and crossbars. Check Yakima site for proper part numbers.

From memory, you'll need landing pads #4, but double-check first. Control towers are universal.

Yakima does make a set of roof racks for the LR3, but they are not to be confused with the Factory racks. The factory racks are dealer only, but are IMO the nicest looking and the easiest to install. They also come with a nicecanvas storage bag for when they need to be removed. I have seen the Yakima's in person on the LR3 and they just look too skinny and out of proportion. Again, my opinion.
