Mai - as far as I am concerned, there is only one place to take your LR in the Chicago area. That place is The Euro Shop in Lake Villa, IL. Glen (owner) is a grand wizard master Land Rover mechanic and one of the most honest and genuine folks you will ever meet. If you are looking for the absolute best care at a resonable cost, take your LR here. Yes, it's a far drive but you can leave your LR there and Glenn will drive you to the Metra station which is nearby. If you have any questions on it let me know.

Bumpdaddy,
Thank-you for the recommendation! To save the hundreds - I'll probably take it over there! I'll let you know when I meet up with Glenn. Looking forward to meeting up with more IL LR's enthusiasts!
Regards,
Mai

Import Auto Sales in St. Louis have a list of independent shops. They are on Craigslist or in phonebook, give them a call. Also, the St. Louis Rover Club can give you some ideas. Do my own work, so do not know of any good shops.
