Charlotte NCs first independant Land Rover Specialist
Honestly, I have to ask. How many guys are from the dealer and how in the world did you get the cahones to start your own place. Don't get me wrong I would love to start my own place and fix LR in Albany. I could wipe the floor with the dealer. But at the same time its that whole thing called a place to operate and the additional tools the dealer has that you don't have.
Thanks for the welcome. Stop bye anytime you are in NC LRchick. Rovin4Life, it has taken us almost 6 months to put everything together and find the right location. We have a a T4 Testbook as well as a new Autel diagnostic and we have access to the other tools through SPX Tools. Both myself and my partner are from the dealer.
congrats man. Always nice to see people thrive outside the dealer, Are you using any BG stuff to supplement your income and how is the advertising going? Have you thought of using vinyl pictures on the side of a rover to help advertising? Do you have a good relationship with your old shop or are you going someplace else to save money on parts. Trust me my old parts dept would seriously overcharge if they knew I was working on one of their clients. But we would go elsewhere like Atlantic british and Napa. I heard LR Paramus is the place to go for parts though. They have them in stock and will overnite for what the local guy will charge for a regular three day wait.
Thanks Rovin4Life, we are looking at putting together a “shop truck” and doing a vinyl wrap. We have a good relationship with our old shop and do buy from them. We are set up with Atlantic British and WorldPac as well. I hope all is well. Thanks
