Hi all,
I hate rust!
Recently I was under my 2005 LR 3 and notice 4 rusty brackets or securing clamps holding 2 approximately 3/8 “black hoses in place against the chassis vent lines I think ? Anyway I’m trying to identify these specific clamps . Any help is appreciated Thankyou.
Are you looking for these rusty clamps on the a/c lines? Mine are all rusted out too on my 07. I can’t find them separate from the whole new a/c line assembly.
good luck getting nuts off the bracket studs.use a small grinder best bet.If you snap them off drill a new hole in the chassis using a small right angle drill and buy new stainless self tapping screws and washers.also spray the new brackets and undercoat them after. Good luck
Get some galvanised steel flat bar and bend in the vice, drill a hole and job done.
great advise however I like the challenge of finding the original brackets thanks for the common sense approach.
Question: Are those AC lines under the rubbertex. Looks like a high and low pressure lines. Ok small issue but resolved Photos show new AC lines and new brackets as well as OE part number and diagram part’s breakdown. I used stainless self tapping screws with a right angle drill The original nuts and tsp welded studs ng I just cut them Next week in a good day I will spray the entire undercarriage and exposed rust and metal with WoolWax to kill any rust spots as well as the internal chassis rails
