seeking purchase advise for LR3
hi,
we are considering a used LR3 and i want to see if there is anything specifically to look for option-wise or year wise? we have a place in the mountains with bad snow, dirt roads, ice, etc. i've had plenty of diesel trucks and 4runners, etc but this would be our first LR. from what i read 2007-2008 seems to be a decent year to get.
looking for good off road capabilities and reliability if that helps. used just because i'm cheap
thanks for any advice

stick with the 2008 SE, don't bother getting HSE. use your smart phone for gps and a bt device (like the ones that the Drive Safe and Save programs give out through your auto ins company). use the power adapter/cig holder available in the front and 2nd row to power up tables, computers, and charge other devices.
imo get the 120k maintenance services done at 105k.
stay on top...above and beyond...of any issues you have in the first few months of your new-to-you used LR3. repair any known issues as soon as you take ownership.
best off-roading capabilities that i've experienced so far. traction control modes address snow, gravel, ruts, rock crawling, and hills.
complicated truck, but no regrets from day 1.
